While our professional associations and many of our colleges and universities push the idea of business ownership, few provide practical training to prepare clinicians for the rigors of starting and running their own companies. As a result of this lack of preparation, many clinicians enter business ownership with a “learn as you go” mentality, the result of which can lead one unknowingly into financial and legal problems. This lunch and learn session will review and discuss many of the fundamental factors to starting and developing a successful business catered to rehabilitation professionals and budding entrepreneurs. Whether you are a seasoned therapist looking to go into private practice or are a self-employed private contractor looking to provide structure to your existing business, you will benefit from this course.

Benefits to Watching:

  • Build an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages of different business structures
  • Learn the essential steps to starting and developing a business
