Presenter, Dr. Michael Stare, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy, and the owner of Spectrum Fitness Consulting. Dr. Stare is an experienced senior physical therapist whose areas of expertise include the use of specific and general exercise approaches to prevent dysfunction throughout the lifespan. He is a Board Certified Nutritionist, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and completed a two-year fellowship at The Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Dr. Stare has extensive experience in exercise and fitness in the at-risk, post-rehabilitation, and geriatric populations and teaches a comprehensive treatment approach combining patient education, manual and exercise therapy, and wellness services. He is an experienced program developer having delivered hundreds of presentations on injury management, assessments and fitness program design. Dr. Stare earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Mass General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, a Masters in Physical Therapy from Boston University and his BS in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is licensed in Massachusetts and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and American College of Nutrition.
