Presented By: Dr. Catherine Lewan, DPT, CYT
While our understanding of Long COVID is evolving, current data suggest that many of the persistent symptoms of COVID-19 may be explained by upregulated or sensitized neuroimmune function. Screening for clinical signs of neuroimmune upregulation improves clinical reasoning and outcomes by identifying patients who will require a modified approach to standard rehabilitation to avoid further upregulation, worsening symptoms and poor tolerance to activity.
About Dr. Catherine Lewan:
Dr. Catherine Lewan, PT DPT, is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, educator, and advocate.
