Julie also discusses practical documentation of functional limitation reporting, G-Codes, severity modifiers, and outcome instruments.
Presenter, Dr. Julie Barnett is currently Director of Physical Therapy at The Non-Surgical Center of Texas as well as assistant professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. Dr. Barnett offers real-world, practical expertise as she successfully completed a Medicare audit as owner of Spinal Dynamics, a sport and spine physical therapy clinic in San Antonio, TX. She has over 20 years of clinical practice and business experience in outpatient physical therapy services and also created the business and reimbursement course for the inaugural transitional DPT class at University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio. Dr. Barnett received her BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University. Her certification in manual therapy was completed from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Florida with Stanley Paris. Dr. Barnett has attended or taught at multiple national and international clinical and business conferences throughout her career and she brings an energetic approach to a complicated healthcare topic. She has been a life time member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Texas Physical Therapy Association and the orthopedic section of the APTA.
